2024 Celebration of Women Morning Tea

We changed things up a bit this year, with our Celebration of Women Morning Tea (formerly our Mother's Day Morning Tea), coming together to celebrate and appreciate the women in our community. There were games, raffles, prizes and various yummy foods on offer, all the ladies who attended were spoiled, each receiving goodie bags lovingly crafted by our wonderful Nikki Hawser. Our ladies had fun and enjoyed themselves.

Thank you to Michelle from the Wylie Post Office, Cassie Stratford from Bush Wicks and Mia Davies MLA for their generosity and support. We would also like to thank our wonderful Committee members Nikki Hawser, Sheryl Wemm, Dianne Greenhalgh, Lorraine Lawrence and Joan Phillips for all their hard work and dedication in planning, decorating and catering for this event. Everything turned out amazingly. We look forward to next years celebration which will be bigger and better.

2024 Road Safety in the Regions

Another fantastic event to raise awareness for National Road Safety Week. Craig was busy cooking up a storm, our attendees were treated to a delicious hot breakfast and a presentation from our local mechanic Steven from Petchell Mechanical. Thank you Steven for your informative presentation which was well received by all, touching on some very important road safety topics. An enjoyable time was had by all who attended. Thank you to all who supported our road safety event.

Run in conjunction with and sponsored by the Shire of Wyalkatchem the CRC hosted the Australia Day Breakfast. We expected 60 - 65 people but were swamped when 130 people came to celebrate Australia Day with us. A great day was had by all those who attended and we are looking forward to next year being even Bigger & Better..

The Wyalkatchem CRC would like to thank everyone who attended our quiz night last Thursday. From all reports the night went well and there have been no complaints regarding my cooking.. that have reached us anyway. Sarah learnt all about public speaking and Diana was at her best adding up the scores and keeping everything updated.

Thanks to the Men's Shed for the loan of the Bain Marie and to Michelle from the Wylie Post Office for supplying great prizes to our winning table.

We are planning a few of these nights this year so start researching useless facts to get a jump on the opposition...

Again thanks for attending and supporting YOUR Wyalkatchem CRC

A great day for the Wylie Mum's for our Annual Mother's Day Morning Tea held on the Thursday before the official Mother' Day.  Its getting so popular we may have to move it out into the main area of the CRC - Thanks to all the CRC Committee who ensured the day went off perfectly.
More pics available at the CRC for those interested.

2023 National Volunteers Breakfast

Another great event held at the Wylie CRC - Our breakfast for Volunteer Week saw 28 locals enjoy a fully cooked breakfast that includes bacon, eggs, sausages, tomatoes, mushroom's & the obligatory baked beans..

Thanks to Peter Lawrence & Don Phillips who helped us in the kitchen preparing and cooking the breakfast to make sure it went off perfectly.

A big thanks to the Girls who kept the CRC operating normally during the chaos.
